Challenge choice / reward quality / safe claims
Difficulty is a progression decision, not just a setting.
Higher difficulty is confirmed to improve reward opportunities. But the published material does not yet provide a complete table of tiers, multipliers or life-pool values.
Confirmed effect
What higher difficulty changes
- Better rewards at higher difficulty.
- More opportunities for higher-rarity equipment.
- Difficulty participates in the long-term loot decision.
- Final tier names and unlock conditions.
- Enemy health, damage or behavior multipliers.
- Exact rarity odds and life-pool values per tier.
Practical rule
Use a three-step risk check
- 01
Start with consistency
A completed hunt can secure permanent progress. An ambitious failure cannot, so reliability has real value.
- 02
Raise difficulty for reward quality
The developer explicitly connects higher difficulty with better rewards and more chances at higher-rarity gear.
- 03
Reassess after a build change
New permanent gear, Weapon Arts and unlocked Boons can change how much risk your next hunt can support.
Why the tradeoff matters
Rewards only matter if you secure them
The difficulty decision sits inside the run loop. Better loot can strengthen future loadouts, but discovered gear becomes a permanent collection option only after the successful hunt and Purification path described by the developer.

Do not copy invented tables
Wait for launch data before min-maxing
- No checked first-party source supports exact percentage multipliers.
- No safe source currently ranks a universally “best” farming tier.
- Pre-release footage can show unfinished labels and balance.
- Co-op scaling does not prove identical reward scaling across party sizes.
